Halle Berry was born on August 14, 1966. She is an American actress. She was a beauty queen and a fashion model earlier. She has won the Golden Globe, Emmy, SAG, and an NAACP Image award for Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. She has also won an Oscar Award for Best Actress and a nomination for BAFTA Award in 2001.

She is the only female of African American origin to have ever won the Oscar for Best Actress till date. Her award recognized her performance in the movie Monster's Ball.
